Those red things dwarfing the Zucchinis (which are actually those miniature ones that they call “courgettes” and serve half cooked at huge prices in posh restaurants) are red beets. And they are tender and sweet all through too, as also are the overgrown courgettes. We are at present inundated with veggies.
